Lesson 1: Foundation and GFSI Compliance Overview

This lesson will present the most basic requirements of a GFSI audit for the food fraud concepts. With a focus on what is a thorough and competent audit, this builds a simple foundation for the auditor and a thorough understanding for the companies that will be audited. This lesson will provide a broad fundamental overview of the food fraud prevention goals and methods before putting them in the context of the GFSI requirements. Other related audits will be discussed, such as ISO 9000, FSMA, COSO/ ERM, and others. To note, this course focuses on the audit and NOT the methods to achieve compliance.
